WHY PEOPLE WANT IT
It reads as marble. It is not marble.
Marble arrives in slabs. It has seams, it has weight, and the wall you end up with is the one the quarry happened to cut. This arrives in a tub of lime putty and crushed marble, and leaves as one continuous surface — the marble look without marble money, and without a joint anywhere on the wall.
The depth is real, not printed. Thin coats, burnished tight, so light travels into the surface and moves across it as the day changes. Morning is not evening on a polished wall. Paint sits on top of a wall. This becomes the wall.
And it is yours alone. Every square metre is worked by hand, so the clouding and the movement belong to your room and nobody else’s. Breathable, hard-wearing, wipes clean with a damp cloth, and it gets harder with age. Architecture, not decoration.

Every finish on this page traces back to one set of hands. Daros put 15 years in at the trowel before he certified anyone else to carry his name, and he still works walls himself.
That matters to you for one reason. A finish like this cannot be inspected in afterwards — it has to be applied. So the standard is taught at one school, signed off by one man and carried by 50 crews across the country: same San Deco materials, same coats, same polish, whoever is holding the trowel.
Work is booked and guaranteed centrally. If anything ever needs attention, one call sorts it.

Straight answers.
Will my wall look like anyone else’s?
No. It is laid on by hand, coat by coat, so the clouding, the movement and the sheen belong to your room. Two walls in the same material and the same colour never come out identical — that is rather the point of it.
Is it hard-wearing? We have children and a dog.
Lime hardens as it ages, so the surface gets tougher rather than tired. It takes daily life far better than a painted wall, and it wipes down with a soft damp cloth — no abrasives, no harsh cleaners.
Can it go in a bathroom or a wet room?
Yes. Sealed with the right wax or sealant, marmorino copes well with steam — lime is breathable, so moisture moves through it rather than blistering a paint film. Inside a shower enclosure we specify a dedicated sealing system at survey.
Can you apply it over what is already there?
Usually. We work over sound skimmed plaster, plasterboard or painted walls with the right primer. The survey settles the prep, and you are told what it needs before anything is agreed.
How long will the house be disrupted?
A feature wall usually runs a few days: prep, base coats, finish coats, with curing time between each. Whole rooms take longer. You get the schedule in writing before we start, and one point of contact throughout.
What decides the price?
Area, the finish you choose, the condition of the substrate and access. Every job is priced after a survey — we do not quote off the back of a photograph.
What happens if it gets damaged later?
It is repairable. The craftsman can make good and re-polish locally, working the repair into the surrounding surface. Work is booked and guaranteed centrally, so the same standard comes back to the same wall.
