Who we are
This site is run by DAROS, based in Bridgend, South Wales. We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions or requests: Darosinteriors@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you ask us about work, training or products we keep what you give us: name, phone number, email, postcode, the service you asked about, your message, and the page you sent it from.
- Chat transcripts. Conversations with our site assistant are stored so we can check the quality of its answers and improve the service. Don’t put anything in the chat you wouldn’t put in an email to us.
- Attribution. A first-party cookie records which advert or link first brought you to the site. If you enquire, that record is attached to your enquiry so we know which advertising actually works.
- Orders. Shop orders are processed by Shopify at checkout. Your payment details go to Shopify’s payment systems and never touch our servers.
How we use it
To answer you, arrange surveys and quotes, deliver orders, run training bookings, and keep honest records of the work. We don’t sell your data and we don’t send marketing you haven’t asked for.
Advertising measurement
Plainly: when you submit an enquiry, our server also sends a record of that conversion to Meta (Facebook) through their Conversions API. Contact details in that record are hashed before they leave our server. We do this under our legitimate interest in knowing which adverts pay for themselves. Because it happens server-side, it does not depend on cookies and is not controlled by the cookie banner — see the cookies policy for what the banner does control. You can object at any time by emailing us, and we’ll stop sending events about you.
Who else sees it
Suppliers who process data on our instructions: website hosting (Netlify), our database (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), the chat assistant’s language model (Anthropic), the shop and checkout (Shopify) and advertising measurement (Meta). Each holds only what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records: while the job is live, and up to two years after the last contact. Chat transcripts: up to twelve months. Order records: as long as tax law requires. After that, deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold on you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how it’s used. Email Darosinteriors@gmail.com and we’ll respond within a month. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
